Greetings and welcome to Purpose and Principles. Before introducing myself and this new series, I'd like to acknowledge Mark Passio and the team behind the One Great Work Network for bringing together so many brilliant content creators on a 100% free access, 24 hour streaming platform dedicated to influencing change to occur in others in accordance with the Will of Creation, which is known in the hermetic tradition as The Great Work!

In this series we will cover the purpose of life, principles, and how to apply principles in a way that supports purpose. Before diving into material, allow me to briefly introduce myself. My name is Zach Conner and I identify as a soul having a human experience. With great excitement and humility, I can honestly say that I have found my life's purpose, which is to become more like Love by way of shedding fear, ego, and limiting beliefs and in the process influencing others to do the same.

Starting about 8 years ago, I began creating content for two websites that no longer exist, Metalogicon.com and NoMasterNoSlave.com, and currently I am the webmaster for the content aggregation site IndependentNewsFeed.com. Over the past three years, the majority of my time and attention has been dedicated to chiropractic. I am a year and a half from graduating with a doctorate in chiropractic from the world's largest chiropractic school, not too far from Atlanta, Georgia.

Unexpectedly and in divine correspondence, it just so happens that chiropractic is historically based off of some of the same first principles taught in Mark Passio's What On Earth Is Happening podcast. There is a not as well known community in the profession that seeks to deepen awareness in these principles and efforts to continually refine their applications. 

Enough about me. Let's kick this series off with some critical terms.

The Purpose of Life
In the most broad sense, the purpose of all life is to grow and evolve. Zooming in on a species with as much decision space as humans, purpose is to become more like Love by way of shedding fear, ego, and limiting beliefs. There are countless ways in which this purpose can be expressed. For example, one way I serve my purpose is by facilitating and initiating a process in others which allows them to better adapt, heal, recover, function, and perform. This frees them from blockages, allowing them to more easily shed fear, ego, and limiting beliefs. Another way I serve purpose is through the creation of content that seeks to quell irrational fear and provide helpful guidance for others. There is no limit to the number of ways one can live on purpose. A bagger at the grocery store with a genuine smile and positive mental attitude can have a subtle yet powerful influence on the overworked single mother picking up dinner after a long stressful day. Everyone has their own unique way of expressing the true purpose of life.

In this series we will also discuss the purpose of life from the perspective of Mystical Kabbalah, which states that we are here in the physical form for two reasons: To have the experience of giving like God gives, and to have the experience of receiving only by way of effort. At least one entire episode will be dedicated to unpacking this powerful lesson.

On a darker note, there are those among us who, carried away by ego, have come to believe that their purpose is to control others. This is not the true purpose of life, rather this is a belief system created by the ego's fear of losing control. Throughout this series we will extensively cover aspects of fear, ego, and limiting beliefs and how they take us off our true life's purpose.
Principles
A principle is a truth upon which other truths are built. Principles of quantity in and of themselves are principles of arithmetic, principles of quantity in space are principles of geometry, principles of quantity in time are principles of harmony, principles of quantity in time and space are principles of physics. Arithmetic, geometry, harmony, and physics comprise what is known in classical liberal arts as the Quadrivium. Later on in this series, we will discuss in detail the seven classical liberal arts of the Trivium and Quadrivium.

Principles are not only limited to the physical. Metaphysics, a term with many varying definitions, can be used to describe principles of the non-physical, as well as principles of the relationship between the physical and non-physical. For example and to barrow from Mark Passio's Natural Law Seminar, Mentalism is the principle that states the following: "All is Mind. The Universe is Mental. Thoughts lead to the manifestation of things and events. Thoughts create our state of existence and the quality of our experience here on Earth. Therefore, be responsible for everything you create by being responsible for everything that you think." Mentalism is the Major Premise of the Seven Hermetic Principles. A Major Premise is a principle upon which other principles are based.



In the world of chiropractic as practiced by the less known philosophical practitioners, there are 33 Chiropractic Principles. The Major Premise of chiropractic is as follows: "A Universal Intelligence is in all matter and continually gives to it all its properties and actions, thus maintaining it in existence." Do you see the similarity between the Major Premise of hermeticism and the Major Premise of chiropractic? Throughout the series will show, as an example of principle application and correspondence, the parallels between hermeticism and chiropractic philosophy. And by the way, philosophy is merely the discussion of principles.
